Jackson Nforten Agbor began his career in safety and firefighting in June 1990, when he joined SONARA — the Société Nationale de Raffinage, Cameroon's national oil refinery in Limbe. As part of the DQHSE (Quality, Health, Safety and Environment) directorate, he spent over three decades at the forefront of industrial fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and environmental health and safety compliance at one of Cameroon's most critical national assets.
His work at SONARA gave him unparalleled field expertise — managing fire suppression systems, leading emergency response drills, overseeing safety audits, and training hundreds of industrial workers across his tenure. He worked alongside national civil protection authorities and applied international HSE standards throughout his career.
Upon retirement, rather than step back entirely, Jackson channelled his experience into founding SEERTCAM — the Safety and Environmental Emergency Response Team Cameroon — bringing the same rigour and dedication he showed in the oil sector to businesses, communities, NGOs, and institutions across the country. His mission: to make professional-grade safety accessible to every organisation that needs it, regardless of size or sector.
